QA Automation Engineer

RAVN is looking for a QA Automation Engineer who is passionate about software quality and eager to grow technically. You’ll design and execute test plans, contribute to automation coverage, and collaborate closely with developers and designers to ensure our mobile and web products meet the highest standards.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid QA foundation who can work independently on assigned tasks but still benefits from technical mentorship.

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to test automation coverage using tools like Cypress, Playwright, or WebDriverIO.

  • Create and execute manual and automated test cases for mobile and web apps.

  • Perform API testing using Postman, Insomnia, or similar tools.

  • Participate in test planning, risk assessment, and regression testing.

  • Document bugs clearly and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution.

  • Learn to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

What You’ll Need (MUST)

  • 3+ years of QA experience, including at least 1- 3 year in test automation.

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.

  • Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and QA best practices.

  • Strong understanding of testing fundamentals (test case design, bug reporting).

  • Good communication skills in English and willingness to learn quickly.


Bonus Points

  • Experience with Appium or mobile test automation.

  • Interest in performance or accessibility testing.

  • Familiarity with Git, TestRail, or Zephyr.

Location:

This position is open to candidates based anywhere in Latin America and is fully remote. Candidates located near our offices in Arequipa, Peru or San Salvador, El Salvador have the option to work in a hybrid in-office/remote arrangement. While office attendance is not mandatory, regular or occasional visits to the office is valued.
