The team had to retrofit the LTI 1.3 (Learning Tools Interoperability) standard into Lucid's existing architecture — against aggressive timelines. That meant mastering the protocol while aligning with Lucid's established development ecosystem, demanding deep expertise in enterprise software integration and educational-technology frameworks.

The Solution.
The approach prioritized rapid prototyping and iterative development. Proof-of-concept implementations and API-first design established a robust foundation, built on Scala — a stack with a powerful type system and functional capabilities.
