01 — Challenge

The Challenge.

Skullcandy needed a Windows companion app to launch alongside their new gaming headsets — extendable to MacOS, integrating directly with the hardware. The catch: the app and the headsets had to ship together, on the same launch date, with no room for either side to slip.

02 — Solution

The Solution.

We chose Electron for multi-platform support from a shared codebase, with two parallel teams: one on the Electron app and one in lockstep with the hardware team. Tight feedback loops between firmware and software kept both tracks aligned through every milestone.

The Solution.

03 — Outcome

The Outcome.

Skullcandy shipped the new gaming product line with Skull-HQ on time. Media reviews singled it out as a polished, delightful companion experience — hardware and software arriving together, exactly as planned.
